Message from ACTS Ministry in the US
February, 2010
Dear friends and partners,
As we reflect on this past year and all the things that happened with ACTS Ministry in Burkina Faso, we must thank the Lord Jesus for his love and sustaining power.
Contributions during fiscal year
During fiscal year October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009, a total of $268,744 in contributions were received from donors in the US for ACTS work among the poor. Despite the economic downturn and easing of donations, ACTS continued the work and expansion of programs.
Of the total contributions received from donors in the US, 93.1% were directly used in projects in Burkina Faso. For this we are grateful to the Lord and to our faithful donors.
Ellel Medical Center
The launching of a new medical facility in the spring of 2009 was a great achievement for the Kingdom of God. Among the benefits provided by the Ellel Medical Center are: emergency treatment, public training in AIDS and malaria prevention, laboratory testing for diagnostic purposes, childbirth and maternity for mothers, and a dispensary for prescription drugs. Nothing like the Ellel Medical Center is available in the area and the Ellel Medical Center provides services, testing and medicine at affordable rates for the poor. Ezra College
The only secondary school for the area was launched by ACTS in the fall of 2008. Enrollment at Ezra College was kept at a minimum, but by fall 2009 ACTS and the community were ready for more enrollments. To date 78 students are enrolled in Ezra College. In addition to a solid academic education, students take Bible school courses. With the knowledge and confidence students receive at the ACTS schools, they are well prepared to continued educational opportunities and lead a productive life. Total enrollment in pre-school through secondary school as of February 2010 is 1,377. Click here to read an update about ACTS schools.
Evangelism
In Burkina Faso more lives were reached by the Gospel. Evangelism is an integral part of the ACTS plan for the rural community. Through evangelistic campaigns and the daily programs, 275 came to Christ in 2009. Through specific training offered for individuals in the rural community, 15 new leaders were developed to make the church strong. Two individuals were released into ministry in 2009.
ACTS was established in 2005 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation in the US and is a registered NGO in Burkina Faso.
We are grateful for the faithful prayers and generous support of caring friends like you who make this ministry possible. Thank you, and may God bless you according to his promise in Psalm 41.

Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor.
The Lord rescues them in times of trouble.
The LORD protects them and keeps them alive.
He gives them prosperity and rescues them from their enemies.
The LORD nurses them when they are sick and eases their pain and discomfort.
