Executive Director Joanna Ilboudo receives award from President Blaise Compaore

ceremony
Joanna shown during the ceremony at the Presidential Palace on December 9, 2008. She is walking to receive her honorary title and medal.

On December 9, 2008 Joanna Ilboudo was recognized for her work for the poor of Burkina Faso. Besides a great honor, we believe it is a sign of the Lord's favor upon the work of ACTS.

Burkina Faso President Blaise Compaore personally gave Joanna Ilboudo an honorary title of Chevalier de l'ordre mérite Bukinabè and awarded her a medal for her meritorious service for the poor of Burkina Faso.

Translated into English, the award roughly reads: Order of Meritorious Knights of Burkina.

Joanna says, "Please consider the medal I received as a sign of your partnership with ACTS. The award goes to you, our partners. Without your help, the recognition for my work with the poor would not have been possible. Thank you for your faithful love gifts and prayers that bring glory to our Heavenly Father!"
