Missionaries testify about ACTS Ministry

November, 2009

We are Andy and Linda Braio, retired missionaries with HCJB Global.  We served 15 years with the mission and met amazing people.  One of those is Joanna Illboudo.

In 2006 Andy visited Joanna in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, West Africa, and she presented her vision for Acts ministry to women and children, specifically widows and orphans.  And, in 2007 under the auspices of HCJB Global, we took a construction work team of 17 to be a part of this incredible ministry.  Everyone fell in love with the people, and ministry, and the Acts Ministry staff.

Since that time we have returned in 2008 and 2009 to Ouagadougou to assist wherever needed.  Most of our time has been spent teaching English in the primary and secondary schools.  Our lives have been blessed and great friendships formed.

The Acts facilities have grown from a small building to a widow and orphan center, a primary school, carpentry shop, widows sewing classes, secondary school and now a fine medical center.  In four years we have witnessed growth that only could be attributed to God’s blessing.  Children and widows, whose lives held no hope, can now believe God for a future.

If God leads you to come alongside these Godly, incredible people, beware, you will never be the same.  As you step out in faith, the Lord will likely enlarge your borders to touch the less fortunate of our world.  I urge you to prayerfully consider getting involved with Acts Ministry.  They do not waste a dime or any resources God brings their way, including you.

Linda and Andy Braio
