Christine struggled to keep her brothers and sisters alive until she found help from ACTS Ministry |
“I was struggling to keep my brothers and sisters alive after our mom and dad died of AIDS. Until ACTS came to our village I didn’t have much hope for our future. Now I’m beginning to think we might be able to survive.”
Christine had almost given up all hope of keeping her brothers and sisters alive without money to buy food and no skills to earn a living. ACTS gave Christine and her siblings food, vocational and literacy training and enrolled the little ones in school.
James 1, verse 27 reads:
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
ACTS Ministry fulfills this verse through our care of widows and orphans in Burkina Faso.
Christine sends thanks to all who have given to ACTS Ministry. She says, “Thank you for providing rice for us when we had nothing to eat. I’m anxious to finish my reading lessons. I can’t believe I have such a great opportunity. I’m going to work hard at learning how to raise chickens to provide for our family.”
