END OF SCHOOL YEAR for 2009
Children who finished the year with the highest marks in their schoolwork received awards. But as top student, Jules also received his own bank account so that he can begin saving for his future studies.
We are also pleased to report that the students in their last year at the ACTS primary school succeeded in their exams, allowing them to advance to secondary school. Students who were at their last class in secondary were also successful in their exams.
One young graduate of the ACTS school, Simon Kaboré, plans to attend nursing school next year. After two years Simon will be able to earn his living and support his poor mother who lives in a village about 30 kms from the Hope Center.
This is our prayer for all the children: that their lives will be transformed and that hope for the future will be restored as they learn about the Lord’s plan for their lives.
We would like to add special appreciation to all who have contributed financially and have prayed for the school year: you have scattered your bread on the water and your investment has brought positive change in the lives of poor children. Your sacrifice of giving has not been in vain.
ACTS Center in Saonré is dedicated to giving a hand up and not a handout to the forgotten ones of Burkina Faso...widows and orphans.
